Wescam 16" Video
The Wescam 16” is a lightweight and versatile Gyro Stabilised Camera mount fitted with a Sony Digital Camera System (16:9/4:3 switchable) and broadcast zoom lens.
Although designed primarily for the air, the Wescam 16” gyro stabilised mounts are highly versatile and have applications on many types of moving platforms. This has resulted in the systems being fitted to Boats, Tracking Vehicles, Cranes, Railcam and Wire systems.

Wescam 16DB320WA - Fitted with a 10x wide angle lens and can be rigged either sitting or hanging. Wescam 16DB750 - Fitted with a 33x lens and can only be rigged hanging. Gyro-stabilised vibration isolation to ensure no image jitter is transmitted to the camera system. High quality 3CCD broadcast cameras and television zoom lenses and are equipped with an environmental housing that tracks automatically through an optically corrected port-hole window, positioned in front of the lens Each system is remotely controlled from a console or hand controller and video overlay gives the operator details of camera and lens functions. Roll is fully steerable up to almost 50° from horizontal. This can either be automatic "horizon keeping" or cameraman controlled.
