Pictorvision XR
The Pictorvision XR, is an advanced open mount, digitally controlled and gyro-stabilised camera platform capable of supporting and stabilising film and video camera packages up to 70Kg at film camera focal lengths of 3000mm or more.
The system is extremely flexible and can be mounted in hanging or sitting mode on camera cars, boats, cranes as well as rail camera and flown wire systems. The XR can be either configured for 2 axis operation or in 3 axis where it is capable of maintaining a level horizon regardless of the angular changes encountered by the mount.
From simple shots to demanding VFX plates, the Pictorvision XR is able to meet your requirement for stabilised images on set or location and provides rock solid performance in the most demanding of environments.
Pictorvision XR
3-Axis: Pan/Roll/Tilt Mode
- At level look out roll is +/- 89 degrees
- Max. roll angle increases with look down angle
- No limitation on look down angle
For most cinematic applications this configuration yields the most flexibility
3-Axis: Pan/Tilt/Roll Mode
- Continuous roll at level look out
- Maximum look down angle of -89 degrees when crane arm is parallel to the ground
- Look down angle increases as arm tilts up
2-Axis: Pan/Tilt Mode
This configuration is suitable for relatively static environments where the mounting interface will not encounter angular changes greater than +/- 3 degrees (note: the camera is still stabilised in all 3 axis)

Because the XR is so configurable, we refer to its overall size in terms of its sphere of influence
- Overall size, depending on camera package, is from a 24 to 44 inch cube
- 3-axis weight: 115 lbs without camera package
- 2-axis weight: 90 lbs without camera package
- Lens distance from Mitchell adapter is between 18-26 inches, depending on congifuration (average 22 inches)
