Leo System

ACS and Irenco, in South Africa, developed the first LEO gyro-stabilised camera systems for the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Games to cover the Speed Skating. It was determined that a lower profile was required and this coupled with the need for telemetry operation necessitated ACS to source a system that was not currently available in the market place at that time.

The result was the Leo 400, a versatile system that can be inverted or suspended, telemetry controlled and has the ability to change cameras and lenses. The Leo 400 is certainly one of the most robust systems available and is regularly used for tracking vehicles, aircraft and boat based applications.
