SMARTHead
SMARThead is part of a continued ACS commitment to design and manufacture of original equipment. It is exclusive to ACS and offers very high performance and flexibility. The principle objective was to create a compact remote head to support ACS detachable chip block and brick style cameras. The design incorporates zero backlash gear components to ensure the best motion performance and distributed microprocessors offer unparalleled functions and control versatility.
SMARThead can be used in sitting or hanging orientation and has a wide variety of choices for rigging attachment and control cabling options. The operator control desk is well laid out and uncluttered with controls such as pan and tilt sensitivity and sense (normal/reverse) easily accessible. In addition a menu driven display allows many more detailed control options than are available with other remote heads. The entirely digital construction of the electronics ensures that there is no drift and consequently no nulling is required. Lens control is also digital and combines lens feedback. The SMARThead currently supports all Fujinon and Canon lenses with Digi-handgrips.
