Mission Statement

Aerial Camera Systems (ACS) is a service led company committed to innovation and excellence in the provision of specialised camera systems and facilities that are at the forefront of technology.

The company will continuously improve and update these camera systems and facilities along with its operational and service processes to keep up to date with the ever changing demands of the Film and Video industries.

Awards

From the awards presented to a number of feature films in the 1980's and 1990's, such as 'Out of Africa', to the recognition given for its dynamic coverage provided in the fast moving world of televised sport and rock n' roll concerts, ACS has continued to work at the leading edge of specialist camera provision of which these accolades are a reflection of these achievements.

In 1999, the ACS team saw its tally of awards increase further, including the Royal Television Society Award for product innovation in televised sport (CAMCAT for Channel 4 Racing at Cheltenham), the BAFTA received by Channel 4 for its coverage of the Epsom Derby 1998 and the EMMY awarded to Matthew Allwork for his Wirecam camera operating on the Janet Jackson concert in Madison Square Garden.

In 2000 Matthew Allwork was awarded an EMMY for his work on the Sydney 2000 Olympics and similarly, Dave Manton and Dave Whitlock were awarded EMMYs for their work on the NBC coverage of Athens 2004 Olympics.

Company

Aerial Camera Systems (ACS) was founded in 1979 by Peter Allwork, to provide the very latest Aerial Cinematographic equipment to both the Film and Video industries. Over the years, a combination of client led demand, coupled with continued investment and the desire to provide a full and unique service, has seen ACS evolve into a company that is recognised worldwide, as a leader in the field of specialist Camera supply.

ACS continues to provide experienced personnel and equipment to many of the world's national and international sporting events, entertainment and critically acclaimed Films, award winning Commercials and Television dramas. It is the all round experience gained from the coverage of such projects, that enables ACS to provide its clients with a service that is continually reviewed and individually tailored to meet their exacting demands.
